Meet The Dancer

Hi, I’m Valerie Larkin, based here in Dublin, Ireland. I am a highly trained and qualified dancer specialising in Bellydance: Egyptian {Baladi, Saidi, Classical and Veil}, Turkish, Greek, Gulf, Brazilian, Arab Andalusian, Tunisian, Persian, Flamenco and Sevillanas.
I am also a Free-Lance Actress.

I am the founder and Artistic Director of Bellydance Ireland, which offers a top professional dance troupe, choreography, tuition and an exclusive range of costumes all designed by me.

I perform at corporate events, festivals, exhibitions, parties including children’s birthdays, special events in Ireland and abroad. My dancing has taken me to Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece, Brazil and the UK.
I trained for many years in classical ballet, jazz ballet and international folk dance as a result I am self-motivated and disciplined. I qualified as a dance teacher and have been a member of the International Dance Teachers Association {I. D. T. A.} and more recently the Association of Professional Dancers in Ireland {A. P. D. I.}.
I am also a full member of Irish Actors Equity and for many years have been elected onto the Dance and Variety Committee of this organisation. I have also trained as a singer and have some knowledge of Irish, French and Arabic. I believe I am highly photogenic in print and on screen.
